Downton Abbey Inspired Pearls Necklace and Bracelet Jewelry

Shot taken from the award winning tv series "Downton Abbey"

Inspired by the 1910s and 1920s British Edwardian Era tv series "Downton Abbey", I am very attracted to the beauty and simplicity of pearls. This time I'm using the most magnificent crystal pearls manufactured by Swarovski. I love the fact that they have many sizes and colors to choose from. Besides, they give the right weight to each jewelry piece so that they looked exclusive. To create the unique vintage look, I have these beautiful gold-finished brass roses and large rhinestone wrapped together with 22-gauge gold tone wire.

Pearls ~ 8mm Powder Almond
Gold-tone Brass Flower ~ 12mm
Rhinestone ~ rectangular shaped white crystal sits on brass-tone 4-crows metal prongs.

Green Fluorite Necklace and Ring Set

The main material used for this design:

  • Rare hand-cut faceted rondelle Green Fluorite
  • 22-gouge Artistic Wire Ltd anti-tarnish gold wire

It's fun and easy to make my own gold beads out from my existing gold wire. To me, these Wire-Wrapped Beads don't need to be perfect. It's the imperfections that make this necklace unique and beautiful. This is the end result when I combine it with large gemstone beads in a necklace!

The same wrap around technique is used to wrap around one single bead and wired it into a ring.

Fluorite
Fluorite comes in many colors, purple, clear, green, brown, blue and yellow. Used in healing, Fluorite draws off negative energies and stress of all kinds. Psychologically, Fluorite dissolves fixed ideas. It helps to move beyond narrow-mindedness to the bigger picture. This stone dissolves illusions and reveals truth. It is very helpful when you need to act impartially and objectively. A stone for reorganize emotion and thoughts.  Excellent stone for studying and for use in work environments too!

Multi-colored Floral Display Necklace, Earrings and Ring Set

Inspired by Japanese art, this is the end result when I combine all these beautiful stones together. Delicate and eye-catching! Pink Coral, Amethyst, Green Peridot, Moonstone, pink Swarovski Crystals, one little green Pearl, a single Red Carnelian.

Floral centerpiece - gold stamping plate is used as based. 6 Pink Coral and 1 Moonstone beads are secured using 26-gauge round tarnish proof wire.

Chain - bend 22-gauge anti-tarnish wire into U-shape individually, make both ends of the wire into loops. Loops are hooked to another U-shape piece, and continue the process to make it into a chain. I use round-nose pliers to make U-shapes and loops.

Handmade Green Aventurine, Yellow Jade, Coral and Cherry Quartz Necklace

Do you like it? It took some time for me to decide which color stones to include in this necklace. I love colorful pieces. After all, it's summer! Green Aventurine, Yellow Jade and Coral are natural stones. If you love crystals and believe the power in-stored in these "earth DNA", wearing them is a win win for decoration and healing!

Here's are some of the believes:-

~ Aventurine - is a very positive stone of prosperity. Wearing Aventurine absorbs electromagnetic smog and protects against environmental pollution. You can tape or hang them to your cell phone. It acts as a protection against its emanations.

~Jade - in general is a symbol of purity and serenity. Much priced in the east, it's used as a protective stone, which keeps the wearer from harm and brings harmony.  It attracts good luck and friendship. Yellow Jade is energetic and stimulating but with a more mellowness to it compare to their counterparts, the Orange Jade.

~Coral - symbolizes joy and happiness, it enables the wearer to enjoy life. The use of coral was recorded dating back thousands of years ago from the ancient Egyptians. My research on writings written by healers shows that Red Coral typically aids blood-force energy, conception and depression.

This is my first attempt taking jewelry photographs with a touch of old school retro feel to it. I hope it brings the warm look while still showing it's design clearly.

TO ALL CRAFTERS...HAPPY CRAFTING!!
